How the counting works

Every match of the League Cup counts, from its first round, and so do replays and both legs of a two-legged tie. A score is the one after extra time: a match won on penalties is a draw on the grid, the shoot-out noted beside it. At a neutral ground, such as Wembley for the final, the side named first counts as the home side. Walkovers, byes and void or abandoned matches aren't matches.

The results to 2018/19 are from engsoccerdata (James Curley), checked where other sources overlap it: nine scores and eight dates it had wrong are corrected. 2019/20 to 2024/25 are from openfootball, and the seasons since from Wikipedia's League Cup season articles, read again every morning, so this season's results arrive the day after they're played.
